What does “Scorpio is rebuilding your house” mean?

The phrase comes from social media astrology, including October 2026 posts asking “Which of my houses is under construction?” It is shorthand rather than a formal term. Mercury and, for part of the period, Venus move retrograde through Scorpio. The house Scorpio occupies in your chart is therefore treated as an area for reviewing, repairing and clearing out before making a fresh start. Retrograde motion is an apparent movement: a planet seems to travel backwards for several weeks as Earth and the planet change positions along their orbits, like one vehicle overtaking another.
